Job Description: Soliant Health is currently seeking a motivated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team in the Mineral Wells, Texas area. As a Speech Language Pathologist with Soliant Health, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals by providing comprehensive speech and language therapy services. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to assess, diagnose, and treat communication disorders in clients of all ages.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess clients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to clients' needs and goals.
- Implement evidence-based therapy techniques and interventions.
- Provide education and training to clients, families, and caregivers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of therapy sessions and progress reports.
Qualifications:

Education: Completion of an associate's degree or bachelor's degree program in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant or a related field from an accredited institution.

Certification: Some states require SLPA certification or licensure. Candidates should verify specific requirements in the state where they intend to work.

Training: Completion of supervised clinical training or fieldwork under the direction of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP).

Knowledge: Understanding of speech and language disorders, as well as basic knowledge of communication development across the lifespan.

Skills:
- Ability to assist in implementing therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP.
- Proficiency in using therapeutic techniques and tools, such as speech and language exercises, AAC devices, and computer-based programs.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Organizational skills to maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and client progress.

Legal and Ethical Compliance: Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards governing the practice of speech-language pathology, including confidentiality and informed consent.

Commitment to Professional Development: Willingness to participate in continuing education opportunities to stay updated on advances in the field and maintain licensure or certification.

Interpersonal Skills: Compassion, patience, and empathy when working with individuals with communication disorders, as well as the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients and their families.
