Calling on Speech-Language Pathologists based in the area of Sherman Oaks, CA, and who want to support students with Autism! Soliant has partnered with a special school and is seeking a contract SLP for the upcoming year.
The school serves students from ages 5-21, with varying degrees of communication needs. Therapists will be working with some high functioning students, as well as some non verbal students.
Primary responsibilities as follows:
- Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for students with identified speech and language disorders, or who need support with social skills and pragmatics
- Understand students' IEP goals, and propose a therapy plan to support those goals
- Develop treatment plans and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations.
- Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns.
- Maintain accurate records for all students on the caseload.
- Provide reports of a student’s progress to parents.
- Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development.
