Location: Waukegan, IL
Duration: July 31st, 2024 - May 27th, 2025
Full-time or part-time: Both
Caseload Ages: PreK through high school
Description: We're currently seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in Waukegan, IL. This position offers both full-time and part-time options and spans from July 31st, 2024, to May 27th, 2025. Our caseload encompasses students from PreK through high school. We welcome candidates at all levels, including those in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY), and provide comprehensive mentorship. Candidates must hold the necessary certifications from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) and possess a Professional Educator License (PEL). Familiarity with Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems is essential. As a bilingual district, monolingual candidates will collaborate with interpreters to support our diverse student population.
Requirements:
- Acceptance of CFY candidates with provided mentorship
- Possession of IDFPR and PEL certifications
- Comfort with AAC systems
- Willingness to collaborate with interpreters in a bilingual district
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans
- Provide therapy services to students from PreK through high school
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student needs
Note: This role provides flexibility in terms of full-time or part-time status and offers mentorship for CFY candidates. Candidates must have the required certifications and be comfortable working in a bilingual environment.
