Teacher of the Visually Impaired Opening - School Based

Blazer Jobs is actively seeking a qualified Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) for a full-time, onsite, school-based contract position in Houston, TX. This role starts at $48 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students with visual impairments

• Support students across various grade levels and settings

• Adapt learning materials using braille, large print, or assistive technology

• Participate in IEP development and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

• Maintain accurate progress records and comply with district/state guidelines

Federal and Texas Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field

• Valid Texas teaching certification with VI endorsement

• Must pass Texas Education Agency (TEA) background and fingerprint checks

• Authorized to work in the United States
