Part-time Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) Opening in Falls Church, Virginia

We are partnering with schools in the Falls Church, Virginia area for the upcoming school year.  As a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), you will be responsible for delivering specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments.

Position Details:

• September 2025 - May 2026
• Part-Time: 2 hours per week
• Caseload: 2 students, specific caseload details will be discussed during the interview process
• Pay Range: $30 - $45 per hour, depending on previous experience

Requirements:

• Must have an active Virginia TVI License in Visual Education
• Must have a Master’s Degree in Education for Visually Impaired Students

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with visual impairments, ensuring alignment with state standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Provide direct instruction and support to visually impaired students using virtual tools and resources.
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to make them accessible for students with visual impairments.
• Utilize technology to create an engaging and inclusive virtual learning environment.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and parents to support the academic and social-emotional development of visually impaired students.
