Remote Special Education Case Manager Barre, VT

We’re currently partnering with a school district in Barre, Vermont to fill remote Special Education Case Manager positions for elementary and middle school levels.
This is a fully remote, coordination-focused role that does not involve direct instructional services but is essential in making sure IEPs are effectively implemented and student progress is closely monitored.
Position Details

Location: Remote (Barre, VT district)

Caseload: Approximately 23 students per grade level, managing 2 grade levels (about 45 students total)

Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

Assignment Dates: August 18, 2025 – June 19, 2026 (tentative, following district calendar)
Key Responsibilities
-
Serve as the primary case manager for students across two grade levels

Coordinate and lead IEP meetings, evaluations, and re-evaluations
-
Write and maintain compliant IEPs, track student progress, and ensure all timelines are met
-
Collaborate closely with teachers, service providers, and related staff working across both grades
-
Maintain regular weekly communication with staff and families about student progress and concerns

Review academic and behavioral data to guide IEP development and school supports

Support the team to ensure accommodations and modifications are in place and followed
Ideal Candidate Will Have
-
Valid Vermont Special Educator License
-
Prior experience working with students with disabilities in a school or virtual setting

Proven experience with case management, IEP development, and compliance
-
Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills

Ability to manage multiple students and collaborate consistently with a focused team

Detail-oriented and skilled at coordinating across school staff and families
