Special Education Teacher – Resource Classroom (Elementary) – Albemarle, NC

Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Special Education Teachers for a full-time contract position in Albemarle, NC. This school-based role will serve an elementary resource classroom for the upcoming school year.

We are seeking a dedicated educator who is committed to supporting students with exceptional needs and thrives in a collaborative school environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Albemarle, NC

• Position Type: Full-time, contract

• Setting: Elementary school, resource classroom

• Start Date: New school year

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction to students in a resource setting, both in small groups and individually

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in alignment with student needs and district/state guidelines

• Monitor and document student progress, updating goals and instruction as necessary

• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student development

• Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles

• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education laws and procedures

• Participate in IEP meetings and student support team discussions

Qualifications:

• Must meet all North Carolina state and local certification requirements for Special Education

• Valid NC teaching license with a Special Education endorsement

• Experience working in a resource classroom setting is highly preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills

• Familiarity with ECATS is a plus
