About the Role
The Special Education Teacher will provide individualized instruction and support to students with IEPs in a structured and collaborative setting. This role involves developing and implementing personalized education plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating closely with families, teachers, and school staff to ensure each student’s success.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with students’ IEP goals.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and parents to support student progress.

• Manage classroom environments that encourage academic, behavioral, and social growth.

• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and compliance with state and district guidelines.

• Participate in IEP meetings, team collaborations, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia teaching license or certification in Special Education.

• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.

• Previous experience in a school-based setting preferred.

• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.

Compensation & Benefits
Pay range: $38–$43 per hour, commensurate with experience.
