School Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - Gadsden, Arizona
Located in Gadsden, AZ, this contract position offers an opportunity to support elementary school students as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) during the current school year (CSY). This role involves delivering essential speech and language services onsite across multiple school sites, supporting students in meeting their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and indirect speech-language pathology services in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Communicate effectively and professionally with staff, students, and parents, including during high-stress or crisis situations
- Travel between school buildings as needed throughout the day to support student needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in team meetings to monitor student progress
- Uphold all relevant policies and procedures to ensure quality service delivery
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communications or Associate of Applied Science degree from an SLPA program
- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant certification
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, particularly in stressful or crisis environments
- Ability and willingness to work onsite exclusively; virtual options are not available
