Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) – School-Based (Yuma, AZ)
Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Speech Language Pathologist Assistants (SLPAs) for a full-time position with school districts in the Yuma, AZ area. This is an exciting opportunity to support students’ communication development while working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Applicants must meet all requirements set by the Arizona Department of Health Services and state education standards, including:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant studies, Communication Disorders, or a related field from an accredited program
-
Current Arizona SLPA license issued by the Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS)
-
Authorization or credential to provide services in public school settings, as required by the district
-
Knowledge of speech and language development, therapy techniques, and data collection practices
-
Ability to work collaboratively under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
-
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
-
Completion of all required background checks and district onboarding procedures
Typical Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language therapy services to students under the direction and supervision of a licensed SLP
-
Implement treatment plans designed by the supervising SLP to support communication skills in academic and social settings
-
Work with students individually and in small groups to reinforce therapy goals
-
Assist with administering informal assessments and collecting data on student progress
-
Prepare therapy materials and maintain therapy spaces as needed
-
Document student performance, progress, and activities according to district and state requirements
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support students’ educational and communication goals
