Speech Pathology Assistant - Apopka, FL
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support K-12 students across multiple campuses in the Apopka, FL area. This role offers an opportunity to work within a supportive school district known for its quick interview and hiring process. The contract runs through the current school year, concluding in late May 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy support to students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Support itinerant assignments across several school campuses, including elementary, middle, and high school settings.
- Collaborate closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to implement treatment plans and ensure supervision requirements are met.
- Assist with caseload management and documentation in compliance with district protocols.
- Adapt therapy activities to meet individual student needs within the academic environment.
Qualifications:
- Florida State License for Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or a related field.
- Experience working in school settings is preferred.
- Ability to work full-time or part-time hours depending on assignment (including maternity leave coverage from January to May).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with students, educators, and clinical supervisors.
- Supervisory support is required for all assignments.
Location:
- Positions available throughout the Oviedo, Sanford, and surrounding areas east and northeast of Orlando.
- Multiple school campuses including elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as several private Christian schools.
