Speech Pathologist Assistant in Winchendon, MA

A rewarding opportunity is available for two Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support elementary school students in a dynamic educational setting located in Winchendon, MA. This contract position starts ASAP, with assignments available through June 12, 2026. Candidates will work closely with Speech-Language Pathologists to implement therapy plans aimed at improving students’ communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering speech therapy services to elementary students under the supervision of licensed SLPs
- Support assessment activities by preparing materials and documenting student progress
- Implement individualized treatment plans focusing on students’ speech and language development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and therapists to promote effective communication strategies
- Monitor student behavior and provide feedback to the clinical team
- Maintain confidential records in accordance with school and legal guidelines
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working with children in a school environment, preferably elementary level
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow therapeutic protocols and work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders common in pediatric populations
