A dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support a K-12 school in White City, Oregon, for the current school year on a contract basis. This position offers the opportunity to work within an educational setting, collaborating with students and professionals to support speech and language development under the supervision of licensed Speech Language Pathologists.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Oregon license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathologists
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent
- Experience working in schools with IEP processes preferred
- Ability to work full-time within a Pre-K through 12th grade setting
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to support student progress
Location:
- White City, Oregon, serving K-12 students in a contracted school year position
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the evaluation and treatment of students with speech and language disorders
- Collaborate closely with licensed Speech Language Pathologists to implement treatment plans
- Support students during individual and group therapy sessions
- Assist with documentation and compliance concerning students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Participate in team meetings and communicate progress with educators and parents
