School Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) | Manchester, Connecticut
A rewarding opportunity is available for two full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) to support students in school settings across Manchester and Bloomfield, CT. These contract positions will run from ASAP through mid-June, aligning with the end of the school year.
In this role, the SLPA based in Manchester will work with students in grades K-5, while the Bloomfield SLPA will support students in grades 6-12. Each location serves approximately 5-7 students, offering meaningful caseloads that allow for focused intervention and progress monitoring. The work schedule ranges from 30-40 hours per week, providing consistent, hands-on experience in a school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans
- Deliver speech and language intervention to K-12 students based on individualized goals
- Monitor student progress and provide detailed documentation
- Collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication needs
- Maintain a supportive and encouraging therapeutic environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active SLPA credential and relevant state certification/license
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in school settings
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage students and staff effectively
- Ability to manage small caseloads and maintain accurate records
- Commitment to assisting diverse learners in achieving speech and language goals

- Manchester Campus: Serving students in grades K-5
- Bloomfield Campus: Serving students in grades 6-12
