A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available within a K-12 school setting in West Hartford, CT. This semester-long contract offers an opportunity to support elementary and middle school students with speech and language development across 2-3 school buildings. The role is set to begin as soon as possible and will continue until June 9, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language support services to students in elementary and middle schools
- Collaborate with licensed speech-language pathologists and school staff to implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with educators and families
- Participate in meetings and trainings as required
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license in Connecticut
- School-based experience working with K-12 students
- Valid district fingerprints and background check clearance
- Credentialed candidates will be given priority consideration
- Ability to manage caseloads across multiple school buildings
Hours and Location:
- Full-time position, approximately 35 hours per week
- Work is spread across 2-3 buildings serving elementary and middle school students
- Located in West Hartford, CT
This position requires a Zoom interview as part of the selection process. Candidates with upfront licenses will have an advantage.
