About the Position
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team near Wallis, TX! This is an exciting opportunity to work in a school-based setting, helping students from Pre-K through 12th grade develop the speech and language skills they need to succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) in delivering therapy services to students.
- Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
- Help students improve their communication skills, including speech, language, and social communication.
- Monitor and document student progress and provide feedback to the SLP.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure student success.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
- Current Texas state license as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is preferred but not required.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Passion for helping children develop their communication skills.
- Proficiency in technology for documentation and virtual therapy if needed.
