An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary school students through targeted therapy and SLPA duties. This contract position offers a comprehensive role within a supportive educational environment located in Stockton, CA, with potential assignments in up to two schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech therapy assistance under supervision to elementary-aged students.
- Collaborate with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists and school staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and therapy sessions.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary student support.
Qualifications:
- Current SLPA license required.
- Experience working in healthcare, school, or combined settings is preferred.
- Ability to follow supervision guidelines, with oversight provided by paraeducators, RBTs, CNAs, or LPNs.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to undergo fingerprinting and comply with district onboarding protocols.
- Comfortable with an onsite work setting.
Work Details:
- Location: Stockton, CA, with opportunities in nearby areas including Modesto and Manteca.
- School Type: Elementary.
- Work Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
- Max Assignments: Two schools maximum.
- Start Date: Immediate.
- End Date: End of School Year (EOSY).
- Interview Process: Conducted via Zoom with a panel format.
