This opportunity seeks a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support services in a K-12 educational setting in Fairhope, AL. The role involves working full-time (35 hours per week) within Mobile County Public Schools, serving students from kindergarten through fifth grade across multiple schools, including Holloway Elementary, Chastang-Fournier (K-8), and Scarborough Middle School (itinerant).
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist certified Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering speech and language therapy to students.
- Implement treatment plans tailored to individual student needs.
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
- Support inclusive classroom environments by collaborating with teachers and staff.
- Travel between assigned schools as needed to ensure consistent service delivery.
Qualifications:
- Current registration as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) with the Board of Speech Examiners.
- Experience working with children in educational settings, preferably within K-5 caseloads.
