Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Temecula, CA
A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in Temecula, CA, serving K-12 students across two school locations. This contract position spans the current school year, beginning immediately and concluding on June 5, 2026.
This role involves working across two sites with specialized programs, including Moderate-Severe Autism caseloads, Resource Specialist Programs (RSP), and Special Day Classes (SDC). You will collaborate with experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) who have been established at these schools, providing a strong support network and team environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting with speech and language therapy under the supervision of certified SLPs
- Supporting students with diverse educational needs in both inclusive and specialized settings
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Collaborating with educators, therapists, and families to optimize student communication outcomes
- Managing caseloads within the frameworks of RSP and SDC programs
Desired qualifications or experience:
- Previous experience working with children diagnosed with Moderate-Severe Autism
- Understanding of speech-language therapy techniques appropriate for RSP and SDC settings
- Ability to follow treatment plans and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) goals
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to effectively support multi-disciplinary teams
This position requires a commitment of 32.5 hours per week, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
