Overview:
A school district in Tacoma, Washington is seeking a motivated and licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join their Early Childhood team for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, in-person position supporting early learners with speech and language needs in a collaborative educational setting.

Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Assist in the implementation of IEP goals and treatment plans

Work directly with early childhood students in individual or group settings

Document student progress and maintain accurate service records

Collaborate with the supervising SLP, educators, and school staff to support student development

Participate in team meetings as required
Requirements:

Valid Washington State SLPA License (required)

Must be fingerprinted through OSPI, or willing to complete the fingerprinting process prior to start

Experience working with early childhood populations is preferred

Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work onsite full time in a school-based setting
