A licensed Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available for a full-time, contract position supporting early childhood education in Ventura, CA. This role focuses on delivering therapy services within an early childhood school setting, primarily serving students from pre-kindergarten through 2nd grade. The position offers direct involvement in assessments, therapy interventions, and consultations across multiple sites for the upcoming school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment support and implement therapy sessions for students with speech and language needs
- Collaborate with educational teams to develop individualized goals and strategies
- Manage mild to extensive behavioral challenges effectively and compassionately
- Participate in consultations and team meetings to support student progress
Qualifications:
- Active Speech Language Pathologist Assistant license issued by the State of California
- Previous experience working in school settings is preferred
- Ability to work onsite full time, adaptable to various school locations
