Blazer Jobs is partnering with a local school district in Stafford, VA to hire a School Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for the current school year. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity with a structured school schedule and strong district support.
Part-time candidates will be considered if they can commit to at least 20 hours per week.
Position Details

Location: Stafford, VA (approximately 45 minutes south of Washington, DC)

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday

Setting: Onsite, school-based

Contract Type: W2 (Travel contracts available nationwide with weekly stipend)

School Year: Current school year with renewal potential based on performance and district need
Daily Responsibilities
-
Provide speech-language services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
-
Implement treatment plans and IEP goals as directed
-
Support articulation, language, fluency, and pragmatic goals

Collect data and document student progress

Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, and school staff
-
Maintain compliance with school, district, and state guidelines
Pay Range (Based on School Experience)

0–2 years: $32–35/hour
-
3–5 years: $35–38/hour
-
6–9 years: $38–41/hour
-
10+ years: $41–44/hour
Pay rate depends on experience. Contract renewals for the following school year are based on performance and district needs.

State & Position Requirements

Must hold an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech Communication Disorders

Must be registered with the Virginia Speech Board

Must be registered under a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

Prior school-based experience preferred
