Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Alexandria, VA

Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Associates or Bachelor's degree in Speech Communication Disorders required
- Registration with the Speech Board by a supervising SLP, as Virginia does not license SLPAs
- 0-10+ years of school-based SLPA experience welcomed
- Ability to comply with district and state requirements for SLPA practice
- Commitment to working on-site; hybrid or remote arrangements are not available
Responsibilities:
- Assist the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist in providing therapy and support to students with speech and language needs
- Participate in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and documentation requirements
- Adapt to varied caseload demands and provide services across multiple school settings as assigned
- Collaborate with educational and clinical teams to optimize student outcomes
