This position offers an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide essential support services to early childhood students within a K-12 school setting in South Holland, IL. The role involves servicing high-needs students under the supervision of a Virtual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP), with responsibilities tailored to the developmental and educational needs of young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology assistance to early childhood students.
- Collaborate with the supervising Virtual SLP to implement individualized educational plans.
- Manage an evolving caseload within the school environment.
- Support communication development and speech therapy goals.
- Adapt techniques to meet the specific needs of high-needs students.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Possession of a valid Illinois SLPA License is required.
- Experience working in a school setting is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work onsite within the South Holland, IL area.
- Strong communication skills and commitment to supporting children’s educational progress.
- Comfort with receiving supervision through virtual means.
Position Details:
- Contract duration runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY).
- Hours are 32.5 per week.
- Caseload specifics, including grade level and number of schools serviced, will be determined upon placement.
