Located in San Luis, AZ, this position offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital speech and language services within a K-12 school setting. As a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA), you will work onsite under the direct supervision of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists, contributing to the support and development of students with communication needs throughout the school year (CSY contract).
Responsibilities:
- Deliver both direct and indirect speech-language services aligned with individual students’ IEPs.
- Collaborate closely with licensed SLPs to ensure effective and compliant care.
- Communicate effectively with staff, students, and parents, especially in sensitive or high-stress situations.
- Travel between multiple school sites as required during the workday.
- Maintain accurate documentation and participate in ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field; alternatively, an AAS degree from an SLPA program is acceptable.
- Active SLPA certification/license.
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite exclusively; virtual options are not available.
