Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) in Soddy Daisy, TN
Supporting elementary students within a Tennessee K-12 school setting, this full-time role offers a focused opportunity to contribute as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). The position involves delivering specialized therapy services, participating in evaluations, and collaborating with educational teams to support student progress.
Location: Soddy Daisy, TN (Chattanooga Area)
Assignment Duration: Contract role through the current school year, with anticipated end date in late May 2026
Work Schedule: Full-time, 35 to 37.5 hours per week, onsite only—no remote or hybrid options
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy services to elementary-aged students
- Assist in conducting evaluations and screening as part of student assessments
- Attend and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and other collaborative sessions
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes aligned with district standards
- Support the caseload across 1 to 3 campuses depending on student needs
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee SLPA License
- Valid Tennessee Department of Education Certification
- School Services Personnel License with SLPA endorsement
- Previous experience working as an SLPA in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills for effective collaboration in educational environments
