Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our educational team for the 2025–2026 school year in Sarasota, FL. The SLPA will support the implementation of speech-language therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and play a key role in helping students improve communication skills to succeed academically and socially.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of speech and language therapy services as prescribed by the supervising SLP

  • Work with individual students or small groups to support communication development across a range of needs

  • Follow documented treatment plans and protocols

  • Collect data and maintain accurate records on student progress and performance

  • Support students with speech-language goals in both pull-out and classroom-based settings

  • Prepare therapy materials and resources as needed for sessions

  • Collaborate with teachers and school staff to support student success

  • Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities

  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to all ethical and professional standards

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or Communication Sciences and Disorders

  • Current SLPA licensure/registration in the state of Florida (or eligibility for licensure)

  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team

  • Understanding of school-based service delivery models is a plus
