A Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available in a K-12 school setting in Santa Ana, CA. This contract position runs throughout the school year (CSY), providing essential support for students' speech and language development within an educational environment.
Location: Santa Ana, CA
Schedule: Monday and Tuesday, 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM (30 minutes unpaid lunch)
Duration: School Year Contract (CSY)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist speech-language pathologists in implementing individualized therapy plans tailored to students' needs.
- Support speech and language assessments by preparing materials and documenting student progress.
- Work closely with students individually or in small groups to reinforce communication skills.
- Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and staff to coordinate services and share student progress.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district policies.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Previous SLPA experience in school and healthcare settings preferred.
- Familiarity with K-12 educational environments and student needs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
