Position Overview
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a supportive school district for the 2026–2027 school year. This position offers the opportunity to work with K–12 students, helping them develop essential communication skills under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Responsibilities
Provide speech and language therapy services to students under the supervision of a licensed SLP.
Implement treatment plans and interventions designed by the supervising SLP.
Assist with documenting student progress and maintaining accurate service records.
Support the collection of data during therapy sessions.
Prepare therapy materials and utilize evidence-based activities to engage students.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to support student goals.
Participate in team meetings and training opportunities as appropriate.
Adhere to district, state, and federal regulations regarding special education services.
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting or a related field.
Active Virginia SLPA license or eligibility to obtain licensure.
Previous experience working with children in a school, clinic, or pediatric setting preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Knowledge of speech and language disorders and intervention techniques.
Preferred Skills
Experience supporting students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication needs.
Familiarity with IEP goals and school-based service delivery.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Ability to adapt therapy activities to meet diverse student needs.
Compensation & Benefits
