A school-based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support students from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade across multiple school sites. This contract role offers the opportunity to engage with a diverse caseload in a K-12 educational setting, contributing to the development and progress of students' communication skills.
Location: Moreno Valley, CA
Duration: Contract through April 24th
Work Schedule: Approximately 35 hours per week
Student Age Range: PK-12
Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in implementing therapy plans for students with speech and language challenges
- Provide support across multiple school sites, adapting interventions to meet individual student needs from early childhood through high school
- Monitor and document student progress and participate in team meetings to discuss treatment plans and outcomes
- Maintain compliance with district policies and state regulations regarding speech-language services
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Speech & Language Pathology or completion of a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant program
- Registration with the Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Prior experience working with children in a school setting is preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload effectively
