Travel Speech & Language Pathology Assistant in San Antonio, TX
An opportunity is available for a bilingual Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide specialized support within a school setting in San Antonio, TX. This travel position involves working on-site at both a middle school and a high school campus, serving students predominantly in bilingual Spanish-English capacities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language support services under the supervision of certified speech-language pathologists.
- Manage an approximate caseload of 120 students, many scheduled for speech therapy biweekly or less.
- Collaborate with school staff and families to facilitate student communication development.
- Complete necessary district forms and comply with time-sensitive credentialing after hiring.
- Maintain active Texas SLPA licensure and adhere to district policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLPA licensure is required.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is essential.
- Experience working with school-age children, preferably in middle and high school environments.
- Strong organizational skills to manage a diverse caseload.
- Ability to adapt to travel requirements and work on-site for designated schools.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is based in San Antonio, TX.
- Work is conducted on-site at two school campuses.
- 40 hours per week commitment.
- Contract duration from ASAP through May 29, 2026.
