A K-12 school in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide targeted support for students across the academic year on a contract basis. This role requires experience working within school settings and supporting speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with implementing speech and language therapy plans tailored to individual student needs
- Support students in developing communication skills during one-on-one or small group sessions
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
- Collaborate with the speech-language pathologist, teachers, and other school staff to meet student goals
- Help prepare materials and set up therapy activities
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an SLPA, preferably in a K-12 school environment
- Knowledge of speech and language development and common communication disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to follow therapy plans and work under the guidance of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist
- Reliable and professional approach to school-based service delivery
Location: Saint Paul, Minnesota
Duration: Contract position for the current school year (CSY)
