Job Description: The Sutter County Office of Education is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team for the upcoming academic year. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work across multiple locations within the county, providing vital support to our K-12 student population. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing the communication skills and overall academic success of our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in conducting comprehensive screenings and assessments.
- Implement individualized treatment plans designed by SLPs to address speech and language needs.
- Deliver direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
- Accurately document student progress and maintain detailed records.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student outcomes.
- Travel to various school sites within the county.
Qualifications:
- Valid California SLPA license.
- Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Reliable transportation for travel between school sites.
