Speech Language Pathologist Assistant - Robstown, TX
Step into a dynamic, school-based role supporting students on the Southeast Texas Coast! This full-time, contract opportunity calls for up to four Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) with a passion for making an impact early in the school year. Your expertise will be essential during the first six weeks, helping provide comprehensive speech and language services while the district’s direct hires complete their observation hours.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech and language interventions in accordance with students’ IEPs under the guidance of supervising SLPs
- Collaborating with educators, staff, and families to address student communication needs
- Maintaining documentation and tracking student progress as required by district and state regulations
- Supporting students across various age groups (case load details forthcoming after an upcoming director meeting)
Qualifications and skills sought:
- Active Texas SLPA licensure required
- School-based experience or strong interest in educational settings preferred
- Flexibility to travel between assigned campuses (number of schools to be determined)
- Fingerprint clearance for Texas schools (process must be completed promptly if not already on file)
- Genuine commitment to providing compassionate support and effective therapy interventions
