Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to join our team in Roanoke, VA. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide therapy services to students with speech and language disorders.
Responsibilities:

Assist in conducting client screenings or assessments of language, voice, fluency, articulation, or hearing.

Provide speech therapy services according to Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP.

Document student progress toward IEP goals and objectives by preparing records, charts, and other documentation.

Develop individual or group school programs for speech or language problems.

Instruct students in techniques for more effective communication, including sign language, lip reading, and voice improvement.

Perform support duties such as preparing materials, keeping records, maintaining supplies, and scheduling activities.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders.

Completion of an accredited SLPA program.
-
Current ASHA SLPA certification preferred.
-
Experience in pediatric or school-based settings is a plus.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
