Speech Therapy Assistant in Katy, TX
This position requires a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support students in a K-12 school setting. The role involves working under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to assist with speech and language therapy services aimed at improving students’ communication skills.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting with speech and language therapy sessions for students
- Implementing therapy plans developed by the supervising Speech-Language Pathologist
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records
- Supporting classroom activities related to speech and language development
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to integrate therapy goals within the educational environment
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure
- Experience working with children in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow detailed therapy protocols
- Patience and compassion when working with diverse student populations
Location: Katy, TX
Duration: School year contract (CSY)
