A part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support the current Speech-Language Pathologist at a K-12 school located near Palo Alto, CA. This contract position runs from ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY) and offers a flexible schedule on two days per week, totaling 14 hours.
Location: Portola Valley, CA (near Palo Alto)
Schedule: Part-time, 2 days per week, 14 hours total, with flexible days
Duration: Contract position through the end of the school year
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Speech-Language Pathologist in providing speech and language services to students
- Support implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) under supervision
- Conduct speech and language screenings and provide direct therapy to students as directed
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school policies
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support students’ communication goals
Qualifications:
- Valid California SLPA certification or equivalent
- Experience working as an SLPA in a school setting preferred
- Ability to work independently and follow SLP guidance effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to accommodate varying student needs and therapy schedules
