School-Based Speech Pathology Assistant | Brockton, Massachusetts
An opportunity is available for a full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to serve K-12 students with diverse communication needs. This contract position spans the school year with multiple openings, providing a dynamic environment to apply and expand your skills in a school setting. Candidates with previous school experience are preferred, and bilingual proficiency in Spanish and Portuguese is a plus but not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support certified speech-language pathologists in delivering speech and language services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade
- Assist with assessments, therapy sessions, and progress documentation
- Implement treatment plans under supervision to address students’ communication goals
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to maximize student success
- Manage a caseload while maintaining detailed and accurate records
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working within K-12 schools preferred
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively
- Bilingual skills in Spanish and/or Portuguese are advantageous but not required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Availability to work the second semester of the school year
