Two full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) positions are available at an elementary school located in Levittown, PA. These are contract roles for the current school year, offering an excellent opportunity to support young learners in grades K-6 by providing targeted speech and language therapy services.
Position Overview:
- Full-time schedule, 37.5 hours per week
- Caseload includes approximately 13 students daily, focusing primarily on articulation and language support
- Work with a diverse mix of speech-only and speech as a secondary disability caseload
- Utilize the EdPlan IEP system for documentation and progress monitoring
- Benefit from support during sessions, as a para-educator will assist in facilitating therapy
- No Medicaid billing required
- Quarterly progress monitoring with no added pressure to pull students for paperwork preparation close to deadlines
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology or appropriate SLPA credentials
- Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate
- All required Pennsylvania state clearances
- Demonstrated consistency, flexibility, and strong communication skills
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-6)
- Prior virtual therapy experience is a plus and will be given priority in candidate review
