Speech Therapy Assistant in Petaluma, CA
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) supporting K-12 students in a dynamic school setting located in Petaluma, CA. This role focuses primarily on early childhood education, serving students from preschool through 2nd grade, with responsibilities potentially extending up to 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language support to students under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Collaborate with SLPs to implement individualized treatment plans.
- Document student progress and participate in team meetings.
- Support communication goals across various educational settings.
- Maintain compliance with relevant policies and confidentiality standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid SLPA certification or licensure as required by the state.
- Experience working with children, preferably in an educational environment.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work onsite with flexible scheduling within standard school hours.
Position Details:
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: June 4th, 2026
- Hours: 35-40 hours per week, 5 days a week
- Location: Onsite in Petaluma, CA
- Sites: To be determined
- Additional support roles available alongside SLPs and SLPAs.
