School-Based Speech Therapist Assistant - Glen Burnie, Maryland
A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed for a contract position supporting elementary students in the Baltimore, MD area. This role serves PreK through 5th-grade students across two schools, providing direct assistance under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists. The position offers consistent hours and the potential to extend into summer school programming.
Location: Baltimore area, MD (Magnolia Elementary & Prospect Mill Elementary)
Schedule: Monday–Friday (37.5 hours/week)
- Magnolia Elementary: 3 days per week
- Prospect Mill Elementary: 2 days per week
Duration: February 16, 2026 – May 29, 2026, with an option to extend through 4 weeks of Extended School Year (ESY) in July 2026
Caseload: PreK to 5th-grade students
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) licensure required
- Experience working within K-12 educational settings preferred
- Ability to provide speech-language support and assist in therapy implementation
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and therapists
- Commitment to serving the developmental and communication needs of young children
Responsibilities:
- Assist in delivering speech and language therapy to students under supervision
- Support compliance with professional and educational regulations
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Collaborate with school staff to support individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Participate in meetings and professional development opportunities as needed
