This opportunity is for a skilled Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support elementary students ranging from PreK through 5th grade in two Baltimore-area elementary schools. The role is a Contract position starting mid-February 2026 through late May 2026, with the possibility of an extension into the Extended School Year (ESY) in July.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students identified with speech or language impairments.
- Collaborate with certified Speech Language Pathologists and school staff to implement individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and documentation in compliance with school policies.
- Support students in classroom environments to facilitate language development and communication skills.
- Attend professional meetings and participate in team discussions regarding student progress.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland state licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
- Experience working with children in early childhood and elementary school environments (PreK to 5th grade) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with educators and families.
- Ability to manage multiple caseloads across two school locations effectively.
Position Details:
- Location: Baltimore area, Maryland
- Assignments: Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week)
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, full-time (37.5 hours per week)
- Contract Duration: February 16, 2026 – May 29, 2026, with potential extension into July ESY
