A Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed for a contract position serving elementary school students in the Baltimore, MD area. This role supports students from Pre-K through 5th grade across two schools with a combined caseload requiring 37.5 hours per week. The contract runs from February 16, 2026, through May 29, 2026, with the possibility to extend into the summer ESY program (four weeks in July 2026).
Responsibilities include delivering speech therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist, collaborating with school staff to support student communication goals, maintaining accurate documentation, and participating in team meetings. This position requires flexibility as the schedule involves working three days per week at one elementary school and two days per week at another.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant
- Completion of House Bill 486 requirements, including a district background check, fingerprinting, and employment history review
- Ability to work on-site at two elementary schools located in the Baltimore area
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills suitable for school settings
