A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available from February 16, 2026, through May 29, 2026, with the potential to extend into Extended School Year (ESY) services in July 2026. This role serves elementary-aged students (PreK through 5th grade) within an established school district. The position requires on-site work at two elementary schools: Magnolia Elementary (3 days per week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days per week). This is a contract assignment during the traditional school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language pathology services to elementary students under the supervision of a licensed SLP
- Implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs of students
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to monitor student progress and adjust interventions as necessary
- Document student sessions thoroughly and maintain compliance with district guidelines and policies
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall support of the communication development program within the schools
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland professional licensure as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
- Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged students (PreK-5)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and educational staff
- Ability to work full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday on-site
- Commitment to adhering to school district policies and maintaining confidentiality
Location:
- Baltimore Area, Maryland, with assignments at Magnolia Elementary and Prospect Mill Elementary
