A full-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support K-5 students across two elementary schools in the Baltimore area. This contract role is based entirely on-site and offers a valuable opportunity to work directly within a school setting serving diverse early childhood and elementary populations.
Location: Baltimore area, MD
Position Type: Contract, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
Assignment Dates: February 16, 2026 – May 29, 2026, with potential extension through Extended School Year (4 weeks in July 2026)
Assigned Schools: Magnolia Elementary (3 days/week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days/week)
Student Population: Elementary students, PreK through 5th grade
Licensure Required: Active Maryland Professional SLPA licensure
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students with communication disorders in a school environment
- Collaborate with certified Speech-Language Pathologists and educational staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collect data, document progress, and assist in assessments as directed by supervising therapists
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet the developmental needs of young learners
- Maintain compliance with district policies and state regulations for clinical practice in schools
Desired Qualifications:
- Current, active Maryland SLPA license demonstrating eligibility to practice in school settings
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in educational environments
- Ability to manage a caseload across multiple sites efficiently
- Strong communication and organizational skills to effectively support students and staff
