Part Time School-Based SLPA Position
Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Location: Park Forest, Illinois
Schedule: Part-Time | 3 Days Per Week
Caseload: High School (Grades 9–12)
Start: Upcoming School Year
We are seeking a dedicated SLPA to join a high school team in Park Forest, IL. This part-time role involves working closely under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to support students in achieving their communication goals.
Role Overview:

Schedule: 3 days each week

Caseload: Around 25–30 students in grades 9–12

Student Needs:
-
Mild to moderate language delays/disorders
-
Two students using AAC devices requiring device support and communication strategies

Responsibilities Include:

Delivering direct therapy services under SLP guidance
-
Preparing therapy materials and documenting student progress
-
Assisting with AAC implementation and troubleshooting
-
Collaborating with the SLP, teachers, and other school staff

Qualifications:
-
Active Illinois SLPA license/certification
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

Previous school-based experience preferred but not required

Comfort working with AAC technology is a plus
