Job Description:
ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) for a full-time position in a Bay City, TX school district for the 2025–2026 school year. This role will support a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in delivering therapy services to students, helping them meet their communication goals in an engaging and educational environment.
Education/Certification:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Science Disorders
-
Active Texas SLPA license
Special Knowledge/Skills:
-
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
-
Knowledge of speech-language disorders and conditions
Experience:
-
50 hours of clinical observation and assisting experience as required for licensure
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Therapy
-
Conduct speech, language, and hearing screenings as directed by the supervising SLP
-
Implement the treatment program or IEP as designed by the supervising SLP
-
Conduct carry-over activities to transfer communication skills to various settings
-
Represent speech pathology at ARD Committee meetings when directed

Conduct observations and prepare clinical materials
Consultation

Collaborate with classroom teachers to implement activities that improve communication skills for students
