This opportunity seeks a School-Based Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to provide support services within K-12 settings, primarily working with elementary-aged students. The role requires full-time, on-site commitment with direct involvement in therapy sessions, evaluations, and collaborative meetings to support student communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy interventions under supervision
- Conduct speech and language evaluations as directed
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and collaborate with educators and therapists
- Support caseload needs across 1 to 3 schools based on assignment
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district policies
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee SLPA license and DOE certification
- School Services Personnel License with SLPA endorsement
- Experience working in school settings preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage varied caseloads in elementary school environments
Location and Schedule:
- Position located in Cleveland, TN area with assignments possibly extending to surrounding campuses in the Chattanooga region
- Full-time schedule from approximately 35 to 37.5 hours per week
- Contract duration from start date ASAP through May 21, 2026
- Must work fully on-site; hybrid or remote options are not available
