Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) – Oakland, CA
Full-Time | Contract | Pay: Starting at $36 per hour.
Blazer Jobs is now partnering with a dedicated school district near Oakland, CA to hire a qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA). This is a full-time, school-based contract role supporting students with speech and communication needs.
What You’ll Do:

Deliver therapy services under supervision of a licensed SLP
-
Prepare and organize therapy materials
-
Monitor student progress and collect session data
-
Collaborate with IEP teams and families
-
Support generalization of speech goals into classroom routines
Required Qualifications (California):
-
Current SLPA license from the CA Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology & Hearing Aid Dispensers Board

Associate degree in SLPA or bachelor’s in Communication Sciences/Disorders

Minimum 100 hours of clinical fieldwork under supervision

Fingerprint clearance through DOJ/FBI
-
Compliance with supervision guidelines (e.g., 20% direct supervision initially)
