Speech-Language Pathology Associate (SLPA) – Elementary School Setting
Location: Mount Airy, NC

This position offers the opportunity to support elementary students in a school environment, working under the supervision of licensed speech-language pathologists. The role focuses on delivering speech therapy services tailored to meet the diverse needs of children in grades K-5, promoting communication development and academic success.
Responsibilities:
- Assist qualified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing therapy services to assigned students.
- Support individualized education programs (IEPs) and follow treatment plans effectively.
- Deliver direct and indirect speech therapy interventions in alignment with professional guidelines and school policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Communicate regularly with families, educators, and healthcare providers regarding student needs and progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina SLPA license or certification.
- Experience working in school-based speech therapy environments preferred, especially with K-5 students.
- Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 50 students, coordinating schedules and therapy sessions effectively.
- Knowledge of pediatric speech disorders and intervention strategies, including teletherapy methods.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
